The museum is closed on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, 4th of July, Christmas Eve, & Christmas Day.
Note: Due to staffing, the museum may close unexpectedly due to bad weather.
Admission is free, but a donation of $5 is appreciated.

Parking
There is ample free parking on the streets and parking lots near the museum. A free municipal lot is directly east of the museum on East State Street. Accessible parking is available in the lot to the east of the museum, or in marked parking spaces on East State Street.
Accessibility
The museum exhibit areas are fully accessible. An accessible entrance is available on the east side of the museum. The door is often locked, so ring the bell, or call the museum for entrance: (217) 408-1197.
